Parros Horizon Cruise Ship

On August 12th, 2079. A large cruise ship tagged with the name Parros Horizon moved steadily across the vast open ocean, its enormous hull cutting a clean path through the deep blue water as its engines maintained a deliberately relaxed cruising speed toward the distant island ahead. Despite the tremendous size of the vessel, its movement appeared almost effortless from the upper decks, with white foam curling outward from the bow before dissolving into the rolling waves and leaving behind a broad wake that stretched far into the distance. The Horizon itself was a massive modern luxury cruise ship designed to carry thousands of passengers comfortably across long stretches of ocean, with restaurants, pools, lounges, observation areas, shops, entertainment spaces, recreational facilities, and countless private balconies occupying its towering decks. Navy-blue sections along its hull were decorated with elegant golden patterns and nautical designs, while the name "Parros Horizon" was displayed prominently across the forward section of the vessel. Even with all its amenities and passengers, however, the ship seemed remarkably small compared to the seemingly endless ocean surrounding it, especially now that there were no other major vessels or pieces of land nearby.

There was still nothing resembling a harbor immediately around them. No tugboats waited nearby, no docking platforms stretched into the water, no smaller transportation vessels approached to meet them, and the shoreline was still far too distant for most passengers to distinguish individual buildings without binoculars or the powerful zoom of a camera. Their destination Island was visible, but only as an enormous distant landmass resting against the horizon, its highest formations appearing first while much of the lower coastline remained obscured by distance and atmospheric haze. At their current speed, there was still considerable travel remaining before the ship would even reach the designated approach corridor leading toward Parros Harbor, meaning everyone aboard had plenty of time to enjoy their first view of the island before the complicated docking procedures began.

From the upper observation decks, passengers gathered along the railings as word quickly spread throughout the ship that the Island had finally come into view. Some shielded their eyes from the bright afternoon sunlight while trying to make out details in the distance, while others immediately pulled out phones, professional cameras, and binoculars to capture their first glimpse of the destination. From this far away, it appeared less like an ordinary island and more like an enormous silhouette rising directly from the ocean, with its massive natural formations being the easiest features to recognize. Towering mountains, colossal cliffs, gigantic stone pillars, and enormous natural arches rose high above the distant coastline, some reaching such extraordinary heights that they remained clearly visible despite the many miles separating them from the Horizon. Between those formations were faint traces of civilization, with clusters of modern buildings appearing miniature from the ship's current position and occasional flashes of sunlight reflecting from distant glass skyscrapers, towers, and other structures hidden among the island's immense geography.

Parros was clearly no isolated tropical settlement. Even from the middle of the ocean, passengers could tell that an enormous modern city had been constructed throughout the island, with its developers apparently choosing to build around the natural environment rather than completely replacing it. The island's sheer scale made judging the remaining distance surprisingly difficult, as mountains that appeared relatively close were actually many miles away, their extraordinary height allowing them to dominate the horizon long before the ship reached the coastline. Yet the island wasn't the only thing attracting everyone's attention. A pod of Orcas had joined the ship during the final portion of its journey, and their unexpected presence had quickly become just as exciting to many passengers as seeing the island itself. The first few had appeared off the port side earlier, their tall black dorsal fins briefly breaking through the surface before disappearing beneath the waves. Initially, most passengers assumed the animals were simply investigating the unfamiliar vessel and would eventually move on, but instead more orcas appeared until several members of the pod were traveling alongside the ship. They seemed perfectly comfortable matching the ship's general direction while maintaining enough distance from the hull to move freely, occasionally disappearing completely beneath the surface only to reappear several moments later somewhere else around the vessel.

Their presence quickly transformed the exterior observation decks into some of the busiest areas aboard the Horizon. Children leaned excitedly against the railings as enormous black-and-white bodies emerged from beneath the water, while adults crowded around observation points with cameras raised in hopes of capturing the perfect photograph. Crew members repeatedly reminded passengers not to throw food, objects, or anything else into the ocean, although even some employees occasionally stopped working long enough to admire the animals themselves. One particularly large orca traveled near the starboard side, surfacing every few minutes before slipping beneath the water again, while two smaller members of the pod followed farther behind and occasionally crossed through the outer edges of the ship. Every so often, one of the orcas accelerated enough for its dark shape to become visible beneath the clear water before suddenly bursting through the surface. The resulting splash glittered beneath the afternoon sunlight before raining back into the ocean, usually accompanied by excited cheers from the passengers watching from above. Despite the animals' seemingly playful behavior, the crew continued maintaining a respectful approach, with the ship's navigation team carefully monitoring the pod's position and keeping the vessel at a predictable speed rather than making unnecessary changes in direction. There was something strangely peaceful about the entire scene: one of humanity's enormous technological creations traveling across the open ocean while some of the sea's most recognizable predators voluntarily swam beside it, all while the distant silhouette of Parros Island gradually grew larger ahead.

A short electronic chime suddenly sounded throughout the passenger areas of the ship, causing conversations across the observation decks, restaurants, pools, and lounges to gradually quiet as the public-address system activated. The captain's voice soon followed, calm and clear enough to be heard throughout nearly every public section of the Horizon.

Captain Shmee: “Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is your captain speaking. For those of you currently outside, and judging by the number of people I can see standing along our forward decks, that's quite a few of you. The landmass directly ahead is Parros Island. We are still several miles offshore, so despite how large the island may appear from your current position, we have not yet begun our docking approach. We will remain in open water for some time before entering Parros Harbor. Our destination is the eastern coast of the island, specifically the Parros Metropolitan Harbor District. Once we reach the designated approach corridor, harbor control will guide us toward the Horizon Terminal located outside central Parros City. The city you're beginning to see in the distance is the island's primary metropolitan region. Much of Parros was deliberately developed around its original geography, so you'll notice that many of the larger natural formations extend directly through and above portions of the city. The large formations visible behind the skyline are not artificial structures. Those cliffs, arches, mountains, and pillars are natural features of Parros Island. And yes, for those wondering, the visitors traveling alongside us are a naturally occurring pod of Killer Whales. They've been accompanying the Horizon for some time now. Our bridge team is monitoring their position, and there is currently no cause for concern. We ask that passengers enjoy the view from the ship and please refrain from throwing anything overboard. Wildlife activity is fairly common in the waters surrounding Parros, although having an entire pod escort us toward the island is certainly a memorable welcome. We will provide another announcement once we receive authorization to begin our formal approach into Parros Harbor. Until then, we remain in open ocean, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the view. On behalf of the entire crew of the Parros Horizon, welcome to the waters of Parros Island.”

The speakers clicked off, but the excitement throughout the ship remained. For now, however, Parros remained on the horizon, and the ship was still nowhere near the point where docking preparations needed to begin. The cruise ship wasn't surrounded by docks, tugboats, transportation vessels, or harbor patrol craft. Nobody was preparing gangways, luggage wasn't being unloaded, and passengers hadn't been instructed to gather near departure areas. Instead, the Parros ship continued cruising peacefully through open water, with miles of ocean still separating it from the Metropolitan Harbor District and the enormous city beyond it. Eventually, they finally got close enough to see their destination, but still far enough away that Parros remained something to anticipate rather than somewhere they had actually arrived. The enormous natural formations stood against the horizon, the distant city shimmered beneath the afternoon sun, and the Horizon continued gradually closing the distance without any urgency to reach the harbor. For the moment, there was nothing immediately surrounding them except the pod of orcas, and the vast open ocean stretching toward Parros Island.

Four days after the Parros Horizon had first pushed away from the mainland and surrendered itself to open water, the voyage finally began to feel finished. The change was gradual at first. The endless sway of uninterrupted ocean gave way to calmer harbor water, the deep blue beneath the ship darkening beneath the shadows of elevated transit bridges, cargo platforms, patrol towers, and the immense structures built along the eastern edge of Parros City. The Horizon had slowed so dramatically that passengers standing near the railings could watch small harbor craft pass alongside them without disappearing into the distance moments later. Some were maintenance vessels carrying mechanical equipment across their rear decks, others belonged to Parros Harbor Security, their narrow profiles cutting neat trails through the water as they maintained a loose perimeter around the incoming cruise ship. Above them, transport craft and civilian vehicles crossed elevated routes running between portions of the city, disappearing behind skyscrapers before emerging again several blocks farther along.

After four days surrounded by little more than ocean, even the ordinary movement of a city seemed strangely fascinating. Passengers crowded every available viewing deck. Suitcases had already begun accumulating inside cabins and hallways, though nobody had been allowed to move them toward the gangways yet. Families took final pictures against the railing. Students who had spent most of the voyage trying to act as though the trip meant nothing were suddenly leaning over one another for a better view of the city they would be calling home. Others remained quieter, staring past Horizon Terminal toward the distant structures scattered throughout the island. From the water, Parros seemed less like a single city and more like several different worlds constructed on top of one another dense metropolitan districts near the coastline, elevated residential sections climbing around the natural terrain, enormous green spaces breaking apart the urban landscape, and mountains rising behind everything like walls guarding the island's interior. Somewhere beyond that skyline sat Mystvale University.

The Horizon's engines dropped into an even softer rhythm. A deep mechanical vibration traveled through the ship as maneuvering thrusters began correcting its position. From the higher decks, passengers could see just how enormous Horizon Terminal truly was now that they were approaching it directly. The berth awaiting them extended far beyond an ordinary pier, consisting of several reinforced docking arms connected to a broad terminal complex built into the waterfront itself. Thick automated mooring assemblies waited along the outer platform while ground crews in high-visibility uniforms moved between designated stations. Large digital signs displayed docking information across the face of the terminal, and beyond the glass walls of the arrival building waited crowds of workers, drivers, transportation staff, university personnel, and civilians expecting friends or relatives aboard the ship. The Parros Horizon eased beside the terminal with surprising precision for something so enormous.

Water churned between the hull and the docking structure as lateral thrusters pushed gently against the ship's momentum. The tremendous vessel shifted several meters sideways, stopped, then corrected again. Harbor personnel raised illuminated markers from the platform while crew members aboard the Horizon responded from restricted sections along the lower decks. Heavy mechanical mooring lines were transferred from ship to shore and secured one after another, each connection taking away another fraction of the vessel's movement until the Horizon no longer felt like something traveling across the ocean. It felt like a building, A final low tremor passed beneath everyone's feet, then there was stillness.

Several passengers instinctively adjusted their balance despite the floor no longer moving beneath them. A few laughed when they realized they were doing it. Children pressed against the windows overlooking the terminal. Somewhere on the upper observation deck, someone began cheering, and within seconds the sound spread through several nearby groups. They had made it to Parros Island. A familiar electronic chime rolled through every passenger section of the ship.

Captain Shmee: Ladies and gentlemen, Captain Shmee speaking. I am extremely pleased to announce that after four days at sea, the Parros Horizon has officially arrived at Horizon Terminal, Parros Island.

Applause erupted almost immediately, loud enough in several sections of the ship that the remainder of Shmee's announcement was briefly drowned beneath it.

Captain Shmee: Yes, yes, congratulations. You've all successfully survived four days of buffet lines, questionable sleeping schedules, overpriced souvenirs, at least three different arguments over deck chairs, and apparently a wildlife encounter involving something large enough to make our ship look like a lost toy. More importantly, docking procedures are now underway. Our primary moorings have been secured, but terminal personnel are still completing passenger-bridge connections and port clearance. Please remain aboard until your designated group is called. Attempting to be first off the ship will not actually make the bridge connect faster, although experience tells me several of you will attempt to test that theory anyway.

Through the enormous terminal windows, the first enclosed boarding bridge began moving toward the ship. It was far larger than the narrow gangways used by smaller vessels. The enclosed corridor extended outward from Horizon Terminal on a massive mechanical support system, rotating slowly before aligning itself with one of the Horizon's primary passengers exits. Another bridge farther down the terminal began extending toward a secondary exit for baggage handling and service personnel. Workers positioned themselves beneath both structures while security teams established marked paths leading from the arrival gates toward transportation areas beyond the terminal. Then Shmee's voice changed slightly. Still humorous, but a bit more deliberate.

Captain Shmee: Now, before we begin allowing everyone to disembark, there is one additional announcement specifically concerning passengers traveling to Mystvale University. Those of you enrolled at Mystvale will not be responsible for arranging transportation from Horizon Terminal. Representatives from the university and Noktis are already waiting for you at the end of the passenger bridge.

Outside, near the far side of the terminal entrance, two figures stood apart from the ordinary port personnel. One was Ivy Smirnov, the Principal of Mystvale University. To most incoming students, that title alone carried enough weight. Mystvale was not an ordinary university, and its principal was hardly an ordinary administrator. Long before taking responsibility for the institution, Ivy Smirnov had served as the leader of Noktis itself. Her history with the organization was known well beyond its active membership, particularly among those who understood what Noktis actually did beyond the carefully controlled explanations provided to the public. Years of hunting, studying, containing, and confronting Kryptids had eventually placed her behind a different kind of front line: one built around preparing the next generation to survive them. Beside her stood Jiwoo Parks, the current leader of Noktis. Where Ivy's presence represented the institution waiting for the students ahead, Jiwoo represented the world Mystvale existed to prepare them for. Noktis operated independently across Parros and beyond, responding to Kryptid incidents and supernatural threats with the kind of authority that made ordinary jurisdictional boundaries feel more like suggestions than restrictions. Jiwoo's presence at the terminal made it clear that the arriving students weren't simply being welcomed to a campus.

They were being received by the two people sitting at opposite ends of the same system. The woman who once led Noktis, and the person leading it now.

Captain Shmee: Principal Ivy Smirnov and current Noktis leader Jiwoo Parks will personally be receiving the Mystvale group once you cross the bridge. They will accompany you from Horizon Terminal to your next destination and provide any additional instructions regarding transportation, campus processing, housing assignments, and whatever other mysterious university procedures they've decided not to tell me about. Considering one of them used to run Noktis and the other currently does, I would recommend arriving with all of your luggage, all of your paperwork, and at least the appearance that you know what you're doing. Mystvale passengers should remain in the designated waiting areas until your group is called. You will be disembarking together. Once outside the terminal, please stay with Principal Smirnov and Leader Parks until instructed otherwise. If you somehow manage to lose an entire university group between the ship and the terminal exit, I imagine that will become a very interesting first impression.

The first passenger bridge finally connected with the Horizon. Several crew members moved forward immediately, securing the interior doors while port officials approached from the opposite side. Beyond the glass walls of the bridge, Parros Island was no longer something passengers viewed from across kilometers of water. The city was directly outside. Vehicles moved along the terminal roads. Wind shifted the flags hanging above the waterfront. The noise of the harbor occasionally reached the ship whenever service doors opened below. For the first time in four days, solid land waited only a few dozen meters away.

Captain Shmee: As for everyone not attending Mystvale University, once your departure group is called, you're officially free to enjoy your time on Parros Island. Transportation services are available throughout Horizon Terminal, along with rental vehicles, hotel transfers, regional rail access, city transit, and enough tourism advertisements to convince you that spending money is a cultural obligation.

Passengers throughout the lounges began gathering belongings.

Captain Shmee: Parros City has shopping districts, beaches, entertainment centers, restaurants, coastal parks, historical regions, nightlife, and plenty of locations I am contractually encouraged to describe as unforgettable. Those remaining on the island for vacation are encouraged to enjoy yourselves, respect local regulations, and preferably avoid anything described using the words restricted habitat. Especially after what we saw behind us. Whether Parros is your vacation destination, your new home, or simply the first stop toward something larger, I hope the last four days aboard the Horizon were worth the trip. Our crew will begin releasing passengers shortly. Please listen for your assigned departure groups and follow terminal instructions once ashore. To our vacationers, enjoy the island. To our Mystvale students...

About an hour and a half later, Minjae had finally stepped from the room with Trinity wearing an entirely new outfit with a fresh smell that could make even the most stubborn of people compliment his scent. He also had Trinity fix his hair and braid/tie up his dreads in a cleaner style. He was walking with a new kind of vibe to him; small remnants of his unique power had been surrounding him as he slowly made his way back to thr group and the intensity of it could be felt aboard portions of the ship. Eventually he reached the others, walking up next to Clementine. He'd look around finally noticing that they were now actually at the island and were just waiting for people to starting getting off. Shortly after his arrival, a another voice sounded calm but it was loud enough for the entire ship to hear, calling for the group of civilians to line up and begin exiting the ship. Minjae chalked it up to it just being someone with a special power since that was the only thing that made sense since it wasn't coming through the ship intercom.

Minjae: Looks like we're getting called soon once the others leave. I know we're just here for this university shit, buuuut i'm more interested in what the rest of this place has to offer.

With that, Minjae began straightening out his jacket and styling the rest of his outfit so it fits more comfortably. Just then he saw a familiar face, one he hadn't seen in quite some time. He didn't even know she had powers so the fact she was here meant there had to be some kind of event going on that he didn't know about. Regardless, he'd find out soon enough; Though he also noticed she wasn't lining up with the normal civilians and the only other group of people on the ship were workers and those attending the school. He had known her for a long portion of his life and never once seen her power, or even talk about it; now he was more interested in her than ever to find out exactly what she was. For now though, he turned his attention back towards Gabriela who was still sitting in the hot tub.

Minjae: You joining us or you gone bathe in that tub some more while the rest of us get ready to leave?

For the past four days, Clementine spent her days with her brother, Benjamin, and Graciela exploring the ship, having drinks and6607CBA6-3503-4D82-80C6-3AC283091B06.png large buffet meals together until they were sick from overeating, while Benjamin had to help both girls reach the room to rest. Other times, they played chess, with Clementine losing each time against Graciela. Still, the other twin taught Benjamin how to play it and how to beat his older sister, something she wanted him to hold over her as being better at this game, but when it came to Uno, Clementine showed no mercy for either party; she would torment them for each round that lasted a few hours. She would pester Benjamin about asking Garciela out for a date, but that was a miss for him. The two girls would spend the rest of the three days hanging out in hot tubs, drinking chaser beverages to minimize the alcoholic effect before they went to dance with the crowd on the upper deck, before ending the night with them making out while drunk.
Clementine and Garciela slept through most of the announcements spoken by the captain, but hearing more commotion going on outside the room the girls are sharing, rousing them from sleep and looking over the balcony to see they were approaching shore, "Oh shit! We are here!" Clementine exclaims, which caused Garciela and herself to hurry up and gather their things, then rush outside with their bags and suitcases, wearing only their Bikinis as they stepped out to the upper deck and looked around for a few minutes. "Hmm, my brothers should be here as well; no way they would miss on arriving to the island," she says to Garciela, who nods. "Hopefully my sister is around as well," she says to Clementine as they traverse through the crowd of civilians until they both hear Minjae approaching and talking to his sister. "i'm itching to see what this place has to offer as well, Minjae, but where is our little brother?" she asks with curiosity and mischief in her voice, already looking forward to getting on Benjamin's nerves.
Garciela follows Minjae's gaze towards her other half, Gabriela Mendez, sitting in the hot tub with a relaxed look on her face, something she was not surprised by since this twin has always enjoyed using hot tubs but has yet to catch Gabriela getting heavily drunk in it. "Mi otra mitad, come on and lets get ready," she said, strolling over to the other twin and sitting on the edge. "I'm hoping there is a shooting range on the island; I've been itching to use my JW4 Pit Viper," she said with excitement on her face.

Gabby had been in her own world since the departure of Trinity and Minjae, honestly she was thinking about taking him up on his offer. He was such a handsome man and just her type honestly, just thinking about the things they would have been doing together excited her more than it should have. But her thought process had been interrupted by his younger brother and sister speaking to her. First was Clementine bringing up her liking Minjae which immediately made her blush at the words and picturing herself with him once again. Right after was the younger brother going on about what else the island had to offer.

Gabby to Clem: I'm already ahead of you girl, the fact he invited me on his own means I already have him. It's just a matter of time before things escalate. Watch, you'll see.
Gabby To Benji: Whatever it is, I'm sure we'll find out soon. Actually curious how much content I can get from this place as well.

1790658339513.pngNow after a about an hour or so, they finally arrived at the island and already the sweet aroma of different food filled her nose. That alone got her a bit more cheerful and perked up. but she knew she'd be pretty chilly once she got out of the hot tub which was the only thing she wasn't excited about. She remained in the hot tub for a few moments longer, that was, until she saw Minjae walking up to the group. Her eyes immediately locked on him, observing his new look, it definitely stunned her and made her completely forget her entire thought process as she bit her bottom lip. Once he said something towards her, Gabby playfully rolled her eyes and gave a slight smile as she began walking up the stiars out of the hot tub. Instead of going to a suite, she grabbed her duffle bag and walked off towards one of the showering areas.

After about another 15 minutes, she came out of the bathroom wearing a new outfit herself and walking straight towards her sister. However, during this she also sneakily rubbed her hand across Minjae's arms, trailed her finger around his torso, then let her hand slide down to rub just below his waist as she looked back at him with a little cute nibble of her finger. After which she'd lean against the wall that just happened to be right beside him, but still had a nice grasp on his hand and pulled her arm back in the hopes of pulling him towards her as well. If this worked out the way she hoped, Gabby will proceed to lean forward and stand on her tippy toes, kiss from the base of his neck and up to his left ear. From there she'd nibble lightly on his ear just to whisper in his ear before pulling back to lean against the wall and look in his eyes.

Gabriela (whisper): You're going to be mine, now. Así que acostúmbrate a esto, papi.

Benjamin was by the railing with his duffel bag over his shoulder when he had heard some familiar voices. He’d been watching the island get bigger for a long time, mostly just ready to get off the ship and walk on solid ground again. Four days was enough for Benjamin. He turned around and saw Clementine and Garciela pushing through the crowd with their bags, still in their bikinis like they just got out of bed or something.

Benjamin blinked.

“Did you guys finally wake up?”

I thought that the captain was going to bang on your door himself. Four days of the buffet, hot tubs, and you guys slept through half of the announcements. Were you guys sleeping or hibernating?

And yeah, I’m here. You don’t have to send out a search party for your little brother. I’m fine. Though how many times you were playing matchmaker, I probably should’ve vanished for a bit to make you work for it.

Benjamin folded his arms, giving Clementine the look he always would give her when she would be relentless.

“Seriously though, how many times did you ask? Every second you were right back on it like you were on a mission.

Benjamin followed them going toward the disembarkation area, and Benjamin shook his head.

I’m not gonna pretend that the last few days weren’t fun. Getting to hang out, relax, eat, and blast music into my headphones and sleep.

When Garciela mentioned a shooting range, Benjamin’s face lit up, and he said hopefully they have one and finally some action. I already know what’s about to happen though. You’re gonna challenge everybody to something. Chess, shooting, fighting, swimming, eating, and probably racing too. And somehow you’ll turn all of it into bragging rights by the end of the day.”

The ship was close enough now that the shoreline and buildings were getting clear, and Benjamin was even more ready.

Still, I actually do want to look around this place. Shops, restaurants, trails, whatever they have.

He started toward the gangway, then stopped and looked back at both of them.

“And before either of you even think or say it, no. I’m not carrying you and Garciela back to the room again. I already did that.”
Benjamin kept walking and laughing under his breath as he headed toward the exit.

When Gabby was talking about getting content from this place, Benjamin laughed and said, “Yeah, maybe you will. And maybe I can beat something up or at least do something action-packed. I’m ready for anything at this point.”

Clementine would whip her head around and stare at Benjamin upon hearing his voice, and give a smile upon seeing him present, giving him a playful nudge when he asked if Garciela and she had just woken up "Yeah, while you went off on your own, me and Garciela had a bit too much fun," she says, then opens her suitcase to grab some clothes from within it before putting on what she pulled out of the case before closing it. Slipping on black crochet cabana shorts and a compression plus top while listening to Benjamin talk, scoffs at the suggestion of the captain banging on their room from the four days of buffet, hot tubs, and sleeping through announcements. She shakes her head and looks back up at him, raising a brow "Now I doubt he would waste his time on Garciela and me; more so, one of his crew would have come to knock on our door," she counters.

Clementine steps next to Benjamin and wraps her arm around his shoulder, giving him a side-eye smile "And no, I wasn't hibernating," giggling at his accusation of her "You would have me work so hard to find you? Awww, how cruel of you to think of such a thing," she playfully pouts before walking back towards Minjae and crossing her arms, but notices how he's looking at her, the same way he always has when she spent so much time trying to get him a woman "I've lost count, you weren't taking any of the women that actually liked ya even when I encouraged them to go after you" adjusting the sports bag on her shoulder "Like seriously, some of those women wanted to jump your bones" she then looks at Minjae with a playful worried look "Like seriously, who doesn't want to have fun with beautiful women" nudging his side before walking where everyone is heading to exit the ship "However i will like to see the whole island, so come on!" she calls to the rest.

Garciela looks over at Benjamin with a curious look on her face upon hearing his excitement, then her bragging about her achievements, but really, she enjoys competitive activities; she lives off the thrill of someone who can match her in competitions, and to hear this boy, the brother of Clementine and Minjae, wanted to participate in shooting has made her look at him with more interest than she did on the cruise ship. "Well, well, you really did enjoy our time together on the ship." She walks over to him with her suitcase rolling on its wheels but hearing him mentioning about not carrying them again made her let out a giggle "Well you won't have to worry about that Benjamin, I am more and ready to get off this ship and hit the shooting range if your down to join me?" she asks with a serious smile and glint in her eyes, how her body flexed with toned muscles underneath and sway in her step, giving off an inviting stance before turning around and walks towards the exit, following the others.

Jaden had briefed his boss about everything and the time had finally arrived for him to make his departure from the ship and onto the island where the rest of his fellow Noktis members were. He first made sure to inform his subordinates to gather around the remaining folks on the ship since they were the students and future recruits they would be taking care of during their stay at Mystvale University. After doing so, the group dispersed and began a formation around the students, not really saying anything but body guarding them as they gathered their bags for the short trip to the University. Right after that, Jaden leaped from the top floor of the cruise ship to the main deck, landing directly at the exiting bridge connecting the boat to the dock. As he turned around, this is when he finally made it known what was going to be happening.

Jaden: Alriiight, we finally made it. So this is what's going to be happening. My subordinates that are surrounding you will be acting as your body guards during our journey. We have quite a ways to go before we reach the bus area and sometimes we have encounters on this path with creatures called Kryptids. I'm sure some of you may think you're able to handle yourselves, long story short though, you're not unless we get a lesser creature which is unlikely. The walk is about an hour to the bus area then the drive to the university is another 25 minutes. You can all begin heading down towards the sidewalk where you'll see my boss, Jiwoo, and our previous leader, Ivy, who is also your principal. Once everyone has arrived, they'll inform you more on what to expect as well as what to look out for during our walk.

Now that the others aboard the ship was all finally getting off the boat, Minjae sent a text to Trinity letting her know that they were all getting ready to leave the ship and get on the island. He had already seen a couple people standing there which he assumed were the members of the Noktis group he mentioned since they had on these cloaks with special insignias along with weapons. This definitely got his attention the most, he was also hearing the convo between both Benji and Clem. All he could do was shake his head and chuckle to himself in amusement then stretched a bit to release some tension in his body a bit more. He'd then look to his sister and for the first time realizing she was speaking to someone that looked almost exactly like Gabriela, he could only assume she was her twin. He looked over her for a moment then back to Benji as the two of them start talking about shooting, Minjae didn't say anything about it, he simply smiled and kept it at that.

Minjae: Yea it's about time we got going. Especially since the Noktis group are already down there and the randoms are already gone.

Though, just as he was about to start walking towards the exit to see what was going on, he was interrupted by Gabby rubbing her hand across him. He knew she was bold already from their previous moments before he left with Trin. But this time she was a bit more aggressive which he definitely enjoyed, the pull in caught him off guard forsure but on instinct Minjae caught himself with a hand on the wall and with the other casually gripped on to her waist of out muscle memory. The kisses to his neck and ear, the whisper, then her accent while she spoke were all things he couldn't resist at times. This just happened to be one of them, he looked back in her eyes with a cheeky smile then spanked her ass before pulling himself back.

Minjae: We'll see about that one, keep doing that though you might get more than what you can handle.

Shortly after that, he saw a man land in front of them and began speaking about the path and walk thats going to ultimately lead them to the place they're supposed to be staying. Things were finally starting to get interesting and he was hoping to run into whatever the hell a Kryptid was. This was the perfect time to gas light a couple people who's been on his ass since the morning started.

Minjae: Oh hell yea, now we're talking! Things just got a lot more interesting forsure. Ayee Benji, Clem. You might be getting a fight afterall if we run into something. Maybe that guys just talkin' out his ass. Besiiiiiddes, you two are sooo much stronger than me. Clem you're the strongest one here, right sis? Oh and my "innocent" little brother, you've been dying to catch a body lately, better hope we find something on the way.

Benjamin blinked when Clementine nudged him and threw her arm around his shoulder. He let out a short laugh and shook his head while already half grinning.

Too much fun, huh? Yeah that sounds about right. You two were gone. I really thought that someone was gonna send a whole search party or bang on the door. Four days of buffets and hot tubs and you slept through the announcements. That’s straight hibernation let me find out you guys are bears.

Benjamin listened to Clementine go on about the matchmaking attempts and the women who apparently wanted to jump his bones abd bebjanus face scrunched up.

Okay, first of all, saying jump your bones is a crazy way to say that. Secondly, I did notice some of them I just wasn’t you know locked in like that. My brain was someplace else. You’re trying to be my dating coach and it’s getting out of control. Benjamin pointed at her with both hands and said you need a new hobby or a least a break.

Then Garciela came up with the suitcase and brought the shooting range back up. Benjamin’s posture completely changed He straightened and his eyes went wide, that never ending restless energy.

Wait a minute, You’re serious? Like actually serious about the range after we get off the ship? Benjamin took a step closer already talking faster. I’m down, I’m so down for that. I’ve been kind of bored just listening to music, eating and sleeping finally some action. Lead the way. Are we going now or what?

Benjamin started walking with the group toward the exit his duffel bag bouncing against his shoulder still excited about the shooting range until he heard Minjae’s voice. The second Minjae mentioned kryptids and a possible fight, Benjamin stopped and smiled mischievously.

Benjamin turned his head toward Minjae so fast it was almost funny.

Hold on. Hold on. Benjamin turned fully around, with both of his hands in the air. Did you just say we might have to fight something like actual kryptids? On the way to wherever we’re staying?

Benjamin pointed between himself and Clementine, bouncing on his feet, unable to stand still.

You called Clementine the strongest and me the innocent one who’s tryna catch a body. Benjamin burst out laughing and said Excuse me did I hear that correctly? Benjamin put a hand on his chest and said yeah I’m the most innocent person here obviously, I’m sweet and lovable, but what does that have to do with fighting? I literally carried two girls because they ate too much, played chess, and looked at orcas. That’s innocent behavior.

I’ve been patient this whole trip. Patient! And now you’re saying that there might be something out there that we can actually fight?

Benjamin looked toward the path the man had pointed out the back at his siblings, eyes bright with pure chaotic curiosity.
Okay New plan. We get off this ship, we follow the path, and if anything weird shows up, Benjamin made a vague gesture with his arms. I’m not sitting this one out. I’ve been waiting for some action since we left the harbor. Something that can move. Something that’ll fight back. Something that isn’t a card game.

Benjamin spun back toward Garciela, still bouncing with leftover energy.

The shooting range still happens. Don’t think you’re getting out of this just because my brother decided to tell me about monsters. I can do both. I’m flexible. I’m ready. I’m so down for this.
Benjamin adjusted his bag, practically vibrating in place for a second before he started forward again.

“Come on, come on, come on. I’m ready. Let’s see what this island actually has. If there’s a kryptid, I’m first in line. If there’s a range, I’m second. If there’s food that isn’t buffet food, I’m third. Let’s go already.”

Gabby made a pleased and mischievous expression from the response of Minjae. Biting her lip at his response and looking up at him with a very submissive but hungry smile, especially after he said she'd get more than what she could handle. That actually excited her more than anything which only made her want to try more. She didn't even bother saying anything, Gabby simply grabbed a hold of her purse and suitcase, and began following the others towards the ship exit. However, the next thing to catch her attention was the mention of some kind of creatures one of the people men called Kryptids. In her head, maybe it was a new species of animal that she had never seen before. One thing she enjoyed more than anything was learning about new animals, but little did she know this particular group was more than just one kind of species.

Everything that had been said had her truly invested in this entire thing, however, the next thing to leave Minjae's mouth is what struck her the most. She didn't know rather he was just joking or being serious. Did his sister really consider herself the strongest? Without knowing anything about the others? That's definitely a bold statement, though the innocent remark sort of made sense when it came down to Benjamin, especially with the way Minjae and Clementine spoke about him. Her lips parted for a moment as she was about to ask a question towards the man who had informed them of the journey but decided not to say anything and simply wait it out to see what happens once everyone departs on the walk.

Gabriela: Hey Minjae? Where's you're girlfriend? Was she just tagging to support you or is she actually going to be joining us?

1791520678695.png

Ada was sure to keep to the back of the gathering group of people that where set to depart for Mystvale university. She felt strange1791563825403.png looking at them seeing that they all appeared to be acquainted with each other in one way or another and the truth was the entire time she was on the ship she had been busy running from one end to the other helping the other staff doing odd jobs and getting just a little extra cash between her sessions at the lounge. None of them likely even realized that she was going to be joining them since she had seemed to just be another member of the staff. If they even really recognized her considering how different she looked dressed up with her makeup perfectly in place her hair pinned up to hide the weathered bleached ends. The only thing that remained recognizable was the prostatic since she had refused to cover it while performing.

There she was though freshly changed and washed her face clean her hair thrown up with the curls sticking out wildly down her back the old ratty t-shirt she had worn dozens if not hundreds of times looking like it was about to fall apart if you looked at it funny and the only thing of value hung from her throat with a soft orange glow that reflected in the sunlight. She looked like a hitch hiker someone had decided to pick up from the side of the street tattered old bag and all. At least she didn't smell though, that was one thing she could take pride in was that even if she looked like trash, she never smelled like it.

Still the designer clothing and the expensive scent of cologne and perfume left her feeling a bit uncomfortable making her keep farther back from the others then she likely should have. She listened intently to what was being said and then found another thing that made her want to sink back. All these people were here because they wanted to be. She had to be here. They were here to join while she was there to be watched. They understood what the hell was happening and she had one experience with a deer in the woods that left her with more questions than answers. Then there was also the fact they seemed excited about a shooting range and a possible fight? Both sounded horrible to her. She had to fight before yeah, she fought a bum once for a sandwich that he had tried to steal. She fought with a man that had cornered her when she was alone at a bus stop. She fought with a woman that tried to put her in the back of a car that smelled of antiseptic and blood. Fighting was not something she enjoyed doing and it had only become worse once "the accident" happened.

They could fight over who was strongest, fastest, the best at anything and everything. She was cool with that so long as she didn't end up eating anyone then she was happy. She let her eyes roam over each of these people that would be her classmates really studying them for a long moment hoping they wouldn't notice her staring as she watched them and all she could think of was. Are all of them going to survive this? Would she survive this? Was this a mistake? Should she have just hidden herself in the forest and never left? She pushed the thoughts down and concentrated on just fallowing behind them trying to make sure that she wasn't going to be left behind. The last thing she wanted was to be alone and run into anything like that deer again.
