Valtetti is one of the most prestigious and recognizable cities on Parros Island, known for its beautiful balance of scholarship, wealth, advanced infrastructure, and carefully maintained natural scenery. It is most famous as the home of Mystvale University, whose grand central campus rises like a crown above the surrounding districts and has become the city’s defining landmark. Because of this, Valtetti is often seen as the intellectual heart of the island and a place where influence, education, research, and elite opportunity all converge. The city is immediately recognizable for its layered skyline, where institutional architecture, glass residential towers, landscaped terraces, elevated walkways, and lake-facing districts all blend into a single urban environment. Valtetti feels modern but its design favors greenery, open plazas, water features, and civic beauty just as much as efficiency. Students, professionals, researchers, tourists, wealthy families, and government-connected figures all move through the city daily, giving it an atmosphere that is refined, ambitious, and constantly active. Despite its prestige, Valtetti is not merely a scenic academic city. It is also a place of importance. Major research initiatives, discreet security operations, and unusually well-funded response systems exist beneath the city’s image. Publicly, Valtetti is celebrated for progress and excellence. Privately, it is one of the key locations on Parros Island where the line between normal civic life and the hidden reality of Kryptid-related activity becomes increasingly thin.

𝔸𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 & 𝔼𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥

Valtetti is built around a striking combination of lakefront beauty, terraced urban planning, and monumental architecture. Much of the city rises in layered elevations, allowing plazas, academic structures, residential blocks, and commercial complexes to overlook one another in a clean and intentional way. The most visually dominant section is the Mystvale district, where a massive cathedral-like academic structure of pale stone, blue banners, pointed roofs, and ornate facades stands at the center of a meticulously designed campus. While several buildings around the city share this same prestigious aesthetic, they are not identical; many reinterpret it through different styles, such as executive towers with gothic accents, modern research halls with arched glass fronts, civic buildings with engraved stonework, and cultural centers with spired rooftops and open courtyards. Outside the university-centered skyline, Valtetti expands into sleek residential towers, luxury apartment blocks, professional office sectors, shopping promenades, public gardens, and waterfront developments. Many buildings feature glass-heavy exteriors, rooftop greenery, suspended terraces, pedestrian bridges, and broad reflective windows, giving the city a prosperous and future-ready look. Unlike a crowded industrial metropolis, Valtetti feels spacious. Tree-lined boulevards, sculpted hedges, public fountains, canals, and carefully arranged parks are integrated directly into the city’s design. The natural environment around Valtetti is just as important as the urban one. The city overlooks a vast inland body of water and is framed in the distance by forested ridges and mountain ranges, giving it a dramatic and almost cinematic backdrop. Days are usually bright, breezy, and clean, while nights transform the city into a glowing landscape of soft gold streetlights, blue-lit academic towers, and shimmering reflections across the water. Overall, Valtetti gives the impression of a place that was built not only to function, but to impress.

Valtetti is not considered one of the most dangerous cities on Parros Island, but it is too important and too active to remain untouched by Kryptid influence. Most incidents within the city are contained quickly and discreetly, which helps preserve Valtetti’s public image. Encounters are more likely to occur in peripheral green zones, underdeveloped infrastructure corridors, old utility sectors, or during periods of unusual migration or disturbance elsewhere on the island. Because the city houses major academic institutions and covert strategic interests, Kryptid presence around Valtetti is monitored far more closely than in an ordinary urban center. Publicly, many incidents are written off as accidents, structural hazards, wildlife threats, or isolated security emergencies. In reality, Valtetti’s importance makes it a location that must be continuously watched.

Valtetti has one of the strongest hidden Noktis footprints on Parros Island. While much of the city believes its unusual security and emergency infrastructure exist solely because of the importance of Mystvale University and the city’s elite status, Noktis maintains a far deeper operational presence behind the scenes. This includes covert observation posts, rapid response teams, secure transport routes, intelligence offices, equipment storage, and access to research or archive facilities hidden within or beneath seemingly ordinary academic and civic structures. The connection between Mystvale University and Noktis is especially significant. Certain buildings publicly described as administrative annexes, restricted laboratories, or advanced training sites may in reality serve dual purposes related to containment, threat analysis, and strategic operations. Given the presence of figures such as Jiwoo Parks and Principal Ivy Smirnov, Valtetti functions not only as an educational and civic center, but also as one of the most important operational hubs in the region. To the average civilian, Noktis activity is usually explained away as private security work, classified institutional research, or high-level emergency management. Only those closely connected to the right circles understand how much of the city’s safety depends on them.

The Greenway Passage is the only direct overland route connecting Parros Harbor to Mystvale University, making it one of the most important transit corridors in southeastern Parros Island. Rather than cutting through developed suburbs or dense urban territory, the route passes through a vast protected wilderness zone filled with old-growth forests, rocky hills, shallow rivers, cliffs, open clearings, and stretches of road that can go miles without passing a permanent settlement. For arriving students and visitors, the Passage is often their first real glimpse of Parros Island beyond the harbor. The route begins relatively calm and scenic near the coast, but the deeper it pushes inland, the more isolated it becomes. Dense tree cover, sharp elevation changes, mist-heavy valleys, and narrow bridges make the area feel far removed from civilization despite its importance. The Passage is also known for its Kryptid population. Several strong Category 1 Kryptids naturally inhabit the surrounding wilderness, while more docile species can often be seen from the road without incident. More dangerous Kryptids are less common, but there is always a chance that a Category 2 or higher entity may wander into the region from deeper parts of Parros Island. Because of this, the journey to Mystvale is treated as controlled wilderness travel rather than a normal city commute.

𝔸𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖 & 𝔼𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥
────────────────── ✦ ──────────────────

The Greenway Passage is defined by a long, winding walk path cutting through dense southeastern forest. Much of the route follows the natural geography rather than forcing a straight path, causing it to curve around hills, ravines, rivers, and massive rock formations. Near Parros Harbor, the terrain consists of coastal woodland, grassy slopes, and relatively open sections where the sea can still be seen in the distance. Further inland, the vegetation becomes much thicker. Large trees form natural canopies over portions of the roadway, creating long shaded stretches where sunlight only reaches the ground in narrow beams. The forest floor is covered in moss, roots, ferns, fallen branches, and wildflowers. Small creeks occasionally cross underneath the road through reinforced culverts, while larger waterways are crossed using stone-and-steel bridges designed to withstand both extreme weather and Kryptid-related damage. Mountain ridges begin appearing farther north, creating dramatic views toward Valtetti and Mystvale. Several lookout points have been constructed along elevated sections of the road, though some are occasionally closed following Kryptid sightings. The roadway itself is unusually durable. Reinforced pavement, impact-resistant guardrails, emergency barriers, and hidden monitoring equipment are built into the route. These features are subtle enough that most visitors see it as a beautifully maintained wilderness road rather than a heavily prepared transit corridor. At night, the Passage becomes significantly more intimidating. Lighting is intentionally limited to prevent disturbing local wildlife and Kryptids, leaving long stretches illuminated only by vehicle headlights, low roadside markers, and occasional emergency beacons.

There is no permanent civilian population and very little traditional daily life. Most human activity revolves around transportation, maintenance, student arrivals, tourism, and controlled travel between Parros Harbor and Mystvale University. For Mystvale students, the Passage carries a certain cultural significance. First-time students often remember their initial trip through the wilderness as the moment they realized how unusual Parros Island truly was. Returning students tend to treat the route much more casually, though most still keep an eye on the tree line when traveling through the deeper sections. Stopping outside designated areas is discouraged, especially after sunset. Certain overlooks and rest areas are considered safe enough for short breaks during the day, but wandering into the forest is strongly advised against. Local hikers are generally familiar with Kryptid behavior and understand basic procedures such as avoiding sudden noises and never approaching unfamiliar wildlife.

𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕥𝕚𝕕 𝔸𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕪
────────────────── ✦ ──────────────────

Kryptid activity is considered a normal environmental factor rather than an exceptional occurrence. The route passes directly through several natural habitats, meaning encounters are possible even during ordinary travel. Most Kryptids living here are territorial rather than actively hostile. Many will ignore hikers entirely unless disturbed, while others may investigate the visitors out of curiosity. The greatest danger comes from unusually aggressive Category 1 specimens or stronger Kryptids wandering into the region.

Noktis does NOT maintain a permanent visible patrol presence along the Passage. Their members typically appear only during authorized escorts between Parros Harbor and Mystvale University, particularly when transporting students, faculty, important personnel, sensitive cargo, or individuals considered likely targets. During these escorts, Noktis teams usually travel equipped with Aegis Arms and specialized surveillance equipment. Their objective is not to clear the wilderness of Kryptids, but to ensure that the convoy reaches its destination safely while avoiding unnecessary confrontation. Outside scheduled escorts, Noktis rarely intervenes unless a serious incident occurs. Routine monitoring is mostly handled through automated systems, local security teams, and university-linked infrastructure. The absence of constant Noktis patrols is intentional. The surrounding wilderness is treated as a functioning ecosystem, and unnecessary interference with resident Kryptids can create more problems than it solves.
