Williams Family Spar: Benjamin vs Clementine vs Minjae

Benjamin stayed crouched in the middle of the chamber, breathing steady even though his body was complaining. His clothes were scuffed, his back ached from the earlier hits, and a thin smear of blood marked the corner of his mouth. He wiped it away with his thumb, rolled his shoulders, and shook his hands out.

“Okay…”

He dropped lower, keeping his elbows tight and his weight centered right under him.

“I get it now.”

The flames around his fists winked out. The crackle of electricity along his arms faded. The wind that had been spinning around him settled until it was barely there.

“I’ve been fighting like I have something to prove. I’m faster, so I rush. I’m stronger, so I hit harder. I have elements, so I keep throwing more at you.” He let out a slow breath. “And every single time, I’m handing you exactly what you need. An opening.”

His eyes narrowed. Chimera Instinct kicked into overdrive. Everything started breaking down into pieces—stance, balance, distance, range, recovery windows, those tiny moments when a person committed and couldn’t pull back. He wasn’t looking for a way to survive the next exchange anymore. He was looking for the one moment he could end it.

Benjamin moved.

He did not go forward. He stepped sideways. One short step. Then another. His body stayed compact, and the angles changed by inches instead of big dramatic leaps. There were no big wind bursts and no spinning for show. His movement looked almost ordinary until he planted his foot and snapped a lightning-fast jab toward Clementine’s face. He dropped his level right after and drove a tight punch into the center of her chest, then pivoted off. His left hand came in with a short hook to Clementine’s ribs, and he used the contact to shove himself into a better angle instead of staying there and trading.

THUD. THUD.

He was already gone from that line.

His eyes shifted to Minjae. He stomped once—BOOM—and a concentrated blast of air kicked up dust and debris across the floor. He did not charge through it. He used the cover, and his footsteps went quiet as he slid along the edge of the disturbance. He came in from an angle that should not have been open, right fist wrapped in compressed air. He drove the punch toward Minjae’s sternum, followed with a sharp shot to Minjae’s shoulder, then a low kick to the outside of Minjae’s thigh. Two steps back, and his guard came up.

“That’s better.”

He lifted one hand. Fire compressed tight around the fist while water gathered along the opposite wrist. He stepped in toward Clementine and threw a flaming straight toward her chest, then deliberately pulled it short at the last second. He dropped under whatever response was coming, drove his shoulder forward, and snapped a knee up toward Clementine’s stomach.

THUD.

His hips turned. A short elbow drove into Clementine’s ribs. He planted and released a tight burst of compressed air at close range. The recoil shoved him several feet back.

“Don’t chase.”

He lowered his center, shifted his right shoulder forward, and deliberately left the left side open for a second. Then he exploded forward with a short lightning-enhanced burst, cutting across at an angle instead of coming straight on. The first strike went toward Clementine’s face, and the second hand targeted her ribs. He dropped his weight and swept low at her legs, then followed with an air-assisted rising knee into her stomach.

WHAM.

He planted and pivoted away, refusing to overextend. His right hand ignited while wind gathered around the left. He brought both together and released a compressed blast at close range toward Clementine.

BOOM.

He separated immediately and reset.

His attention cut back to Minjae. He sprinted—three steps. On the third, lightning surged through his legs and gave him one hard acceleration. A straight punch hit Minjae’s chest, a hook followed to Minjae’s ribs, and a hard knee drove into Minjae’s stomach.

THUD. THUD. BOOM.

A short elbow struck Minjae’s shoulder, then he caught himself with one hand on the floor, swung his legs through in a controlled sweep, and sprang up. Fire flashed around his feet. He launched, twisted, and brought his heel down in a tight axe-kick toward Minjae’s shoulder.

BOOM.

He landed and rolled straight off, coming up into a guarded stance.

“I’m done trying to hit harder.” Lightning crawled briefly across his fingers, then vanished. Fire replaced it, then water, then air. He switched on purpose now—fire for the impact, air for the positioning, lightning for the sudden speed, and water when he needed control or a redirection.

He dropped lower again.

“You guys taught me something. You don’t have to be the strongest person in the room if you know exactly where to hit.”

Benjamin vanished into a short lightning-assisted burst. He changed position twice before he even attacked. A flaming fist drove into Clementine’s chest, a compact elbow hit her ribs, and a low kick struck her thigh. He shifted his weight and fired a compressed air strike toward her torso, using the recoil to slide back. Before the distance could open up fully, lightning flashed again and he surged forward at Minjae—straight punch to Minjae’s chest, hook to the ribs, knee to the stomach, and an air-assisted kick toward Minjae’s shoulder.

THUD. THUD. BOOM.

He landed and disengaged clean.

He raised his guard and took one slow breath.

“Now…” The wind around his feet tightened into a thin, almost invisible current. “…let’s see how long you can keep predicting me.”

He stepped forward, keeping his movements compact and deliberate as he hunted for the single mistake that would give him the opening he wanted.

Clementine knew she was at a disadvantage against her big brother, with their skill difference being rather noticeable, but seeing how fast he had been moving since this spar began, she hadn't realized that her current speed was impossible to even match the sheer magnitude of how fast Minjae truly is. Feeling the kick catch her in the chin sent her flying upwards with little to no time to react "What th-" Her thought cut off with a strike to her stomach, knocking the wind out of her body with how powerful that punch was, and she saw a fraction of a violent silver-blue burst erupt where his strike connected before her body folded forward and sent flying across the room and hitting the wall. Having the wind knocked out of her was an understatement; Minjae literally hit her so hard that her very brain and body spasmed and short-circuited for a bit, then went limp as her lungs sucked in oxygen to stabilize and sustain the body till she could roll onto hands and knees, barely noticing that blood was dripping from her mouth till she saw droplets staining the polished floor beneath her "Shit" she groans, then checks her mouth, feeling around till she feels bite marks on her tongue, damn, bitten her tongue from the impact.

When she rose back up and wiped the blood from her lips, then flicked it to the side, rolling her shoulders and neck before taking a step forward to get back into the fight but felt her instincts screaming at her, telling her to move, and she would've taken a nasty blow if she hadn't listened. Looking to her left, she saw Benjamin right on her with a lightning-fast jab to her face, which she quickly jerked her head to the side, where his fist grazed her cheek and ear, leaving a light cut. Before she felt a strike to her chest, which roused her body into survival, she stomped his foot hard onto the ground and reacted to his short hook by blocking it with her arm, feeling the sting, but saw he left for Minjae.

She wasn't gonna let him stay on the move; she planned to put him in excruciating pain the moment he got in her range. Seeing him back in front of her, she was ready, seeing him throw a flaming straight punch to her chest, but didn't move and planned on tanking his hits; however, he pulled it short, then drove his shoulder forward and snapped a knee to the stomach, which she'd seen in an MMA match two years ago when one heavyweight fighter pulled it off but seeing it being performed, she smirked and reached out to grab his knee with both hands, tightening into an iron grip, then slams her head into his head with two consecutive blows, then threw his knee to the side and throw a rear hand punch by rotating her hip, to connect with the side of his skull before accelerating her movement at 170 mph, hooking her toe right behind Benjamin's right heel to shift his weight forward then align her knee against his kneecap just so when they fall, she'll have full control over his leg and any attempt would cause agonizing pain.

Benjamin’s jab grazed her and he was already dropping for the follow up when the fight shifted.

Both of Clementine’s hands locked around his knee. The grip was tight enough that he felt it quick. Before he could pull free she drove her forehead into his twice White flashed across his vision. His balance shaky.

The rear hand caught him on the side of the head right after. Not enough to drop him but enough to make his ear ring and his weight go the wrong way. Then Benjamin felt the pressure spike his leg as her knee drove in against his. “AHH!” It was the wirst angle to be in

Benjamin’s teeth clenched. He didn’t try to get out of it by force because if he did it was just be more painful. Instead he dropped his weight into the hold on purpose letting the fall happen while he twisted his hips the other way. Benjamin used one hand to shove her shoulder and the other hand to grab her arm. Benjamin raised his body temperature to be hot using fire to ignite and make it uncomfortable for Clementine to touch him.

Clementine I hate to do this but it’s time for me to turn the tides of this fight.

Benjamin’s voice came out tighter than he wanted. Every twist and turn sent a sharp warning up through his knee. He dug his free foot into the floor and tried to roll them using the momentum of the fall instead of fighting it. Air compressed under the palm of his hand for half a second a short burst meant to create distance between them.

Benjamin’s other leg was slipping out of the hold and quickly moved the leg by doing a few shadow kicks to get the blood flowing so it wouldn’t lock up on him. “That’s better.” he said. It still ached but not as much and he could move it. Then in an instant Benjamin summoned his lightning technique called Zip Zap to run at a speed faster than light. No feint shots and no unnecessary moves. Benjamin closed the distance between him and Clem , his right fist covered in fire and shouted

“Flaming Fist!!!” The second it landed or got blocked Benjamin was one step ahead he instantly rotated and brought his left fist in toward her ribs. He ignited his fire once again making the flames coat both of his hands. He then stepped through, dropping his weight and fired a short upward punch in her stomach, then following up that attack with a flying knee strike using air to underneath his planted foot to make the effect of the attack do some damage.

Benjamin didn’t stop there though.

The moment his knee came back down he spun, his left elbow swinging and hitting her shoulder and then used the momentum of the spin to bring a lightning infused shin around hitting her side. And instead of air he used more lightning to make the kick happen instantly and sent her flying backwards.

Benjamin let the lightning disappear and calmed down for a bit because who knows when he’d need the boost. But Benjamin left the flames around his arms and hands.

Benjamin was waiting for her next move and also was staying vigilant just in case Minjae decided to attack him. So he crouched down in a Kung Fu style tiger stance and kept stretching and staying ready for anything that comes his way 43862BFC-A12C-4654-A6C5-CAA2015CBF21.png

Watching him flex and shadow-kick with the same leg she captured, getting into her defensive stance when he dug his feet onto the floor and rolled it around before he instantly moved out of her sight in a streak of lightning that made her feel worried, since she knew Benjamin was fast, but now she saw the full extent of both brothers; she could now categorize them both, with Minjae being the fastest, then Benjamin being the second fastest in the family.
Clementine expected him to strike from her blind spot, but hearing him run with electricity crackling in the air, she turned around to see where he was. When she turned back around, she saw him before her with a fist covered in flames, simageedit_0_5143483021.gifhouting his attack, which made her nearly smirk at this but take the strike head-on. She felt the strike hit her gut, then a knee strike to the chin that sent her flying, then a two-move strike made her spin and crash onto the floor. "jenjang!" she curses in Korean as she gets on all fours with more blood dripping from her mouth, but she gets up despite the pain, standing up and wiping the blood off her face with a playful smirk. "Well, well, you sure are fast but i'm better in martial arts and raw strength than you," she says before strolling up to him till they are face to face. "Come on namdongsaeng, give me a good brawl," she says before going for a quick, straight jab towards his chest just to make him block the strike so she can follow up with a chop-like downward strike with her elbow towards his face. Whether he anticipates this, she will swing that same arm back into a backhand strike to the side of his head.
